2011
The Ohio University Board of Trustees votes to acquire 15 acres to develop the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Dublin extension campus following the generous funding from OHF of the $105 million award, Vision 2020: Leading the Transformation of Primary Care in Ohio.
2013
Tree planting to commemorate the beginning of construction on the Dublin campus buildings. $19.9 million of Vision 2020 funds are allocated for the project.
2014

First annual Picnic on Plaza reception for the first-year class held in conjunction with the Columbus Osteopathic Association during orientation week.
2015

50 entering students all successfully completed the first year. Of the entering class, all were from the state of Ohio.
2016
A video tour of the campus is created.
2017

Hosted the first Disaster Day event supported by OhioHealth, Mid-Ohio Emergency Services (Riverside Methodist), Summa Health System, and Washington Township Fire.
2018
Received grants from OhioHealth and LabCorp to support the newly branded Medical Academy (formerly OU+REACH) high school outreach program. The 2018 summer camp brought nearly 50 high school students to campus from over 20 local high schools for the expanded four-day program.
2020
In early collaborative community response to COVID-19, clinical and anatomy lab supplies, including 400 boxes of gloves are donated to OhioHealth for PPE.
2020

Hosted a socially distant White Coat Ceremony for all entering first-year students of the Class of 2024, followed by a later virtual event incorporating loved ones, family members and Heritage College personnel.
2021
Implementation of the Pathways to Health and Wellness Curriculum for first, second, third and fourth-year students.
2023
The OHIO Dublin Speaker Series kicks off in September 2023. Dean Burke led a group of staff from across the university and a representative of the City of Dublin to develop the series which provides health-related information for the community. The first session was entitled “Live Longer, Longer Stronger!”
2024

Bill Burke, D.O. ('88), dean of Heritage College, Dublin, received the American Osteopathic Association Distinguished Service Award at the AOA House of Delegates meeting. The award recognizes contributions to the profession, including the advancement of the science and art of osteopathic medicine, education, philanthropy and other fields of public service.

The Dublin campus successfully opens on time. Grand Opening celebrations include events in August and an open house inviting the community to the Dublin Campus in September.

First year of the Dublin Open Golf Tournament. Proceeds from which are directed to increase the Dublin Scholarship Endowment principal and support annual scholarship awards.
2016

Facilitated a piloted ‘Medical Student for a Day’ experience for 17 Columbus City School students through collaboration with the Dublin-based members of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA)
2017

Of the 50 students who matriculated in the inaugural Dublin Class of 2018, 48 successfully completed their fourth year of studies, graduated and obtained residency positions. The additional two students completed their Primary Care Associateship this year and graduated in 2019.
2019

Completed a pilot program, Opening Minds through Art, with Friendship Village in Dublin matching Heritage students and residents with dementia culminating in an art show
2020

Renovated portions of all main MEB1 classrooms to install new interactive, instructional technologies to be utilized by Heritage College faculty/staff in physical environment and virtual settings. New equipment aligns with technology resources in Cleveland and Athens.
2020

Successfully kept all students on track with their medical education despite COVID-19 and related safety requirements, including those in the clinical environment.
2022

Hosted a piloted simultaneous Match Day Celebration on the Dublin campus in conjunction with Cleveland and Athens sites for the Dublin Class of 2022 and their invited guests.
